Tara Hawks Nyanga
My passion for helping small farmers (as well as small business owners) in Africa started during my first trip to Uganda in 2007. Now, 4 years later, I live in Uganda and am dedicated to help the hard-working local farmer, tailor, baker, etc. to succeed. As Vocational Development Director for a small non-profit called Fount of Mercy, I believe that supporting vocations such as farming, sewing, and welding with simple, effective solutions (along with skills-training and business education) can have HUGE effects on individual families as well as communities. That is why I signed up on about.me and why I support the #oneto1000 challenge....because poverty alleviation happens one stitch, one loaf, one seed, one drop of water at a time. www.fountofmercy.org
