Tara Hebert

Baton Rouge, LA

My interests include multimedia design, visual communication and event planning, along with literature, live music, culinary arts and travel off the beaten path. I find happiness knowing the work I do helps others and showcases my personal creativity. Causes close to my heart are animal welfare and LGBTQ equality.

I am a junior at the Manship School of Mass Communication at Louisiana State University studying mass communication with a concentration in public relations and minors in business administration and English literature.

I am involved in PRSSA at LSU, where I was a member of an award-winning diversity campaign and served as Director of Finances and Administration for the Region 5 conference, "Hollywood Under the Oaks." I also served as a design team member of LSU's student-run PR firm, ImPRint Communications.

Currently, I also serve as one of the Public Relations Interns for the Foundation for Historical Louisiana that is housed in the Old Governor's Mansion. I work to promote the events and causes of the foundation, focusing on preserving Louisiana's history and architecture.

Those are my day jobs, but I can also be found waiting tables most nights at Frankie Marcello's, a locally owned and operated Italian/seafood restaurant in Baton Rouge, La. Not only does this job help me live independently, but I have also gained lots of experience working with a large variety of people in my restaurant career as well as how to handle extreme amounts of pressure and manage my time well.

New opportunities excite me, and I am always looking for novel experiences, including internships, freelance work or just a good conversation.
