Tara Polley

A REASON TO CALL IT HOME… Until she was 11 years old, Tara and her mother would move to a new place once or twice a year. A map, a blindfold, and a random pick were all that determined their next destination. This experience taught Tara how to adapt quickly, meet new people and be open to new experience. Then they found Sonoma County. The unsurpassed beauty, temperate climate, and home-town feel is what first attracted her to the area. The people, the lifestyle, and making her dreams come true are what made her stay. Tara wants to make your dreams come true in Sonoma County, the place she also calls home. SETTLING DOWN… Tara's passion and love for the area is contagious. What does she like about it? “It’s still enough of a community to wave to your neighbor, yet access to every type of lifestyle is what makes it one of the most desirable communities in the world. We can drive to San Francisco, the beach, the snow, the desert, or the mountains. I’ve lived here for over 20 years, and I still wake up early every morning, excited about the day ahead of me and the wonderful opportunities that await me. What more could you ask for?” SPECIALIZING IN DISTRESSED PROPERTIES… For the past decade, Tara has tenaciously held on through the ups and downs of the real estate market. She is an expert in Short Sales, Foreclosures, and REO's, and has worked with non-profit organizations to provide homeowner assistance, foreclosure intervention, and housing counseling. She is a Certified Housing and Credit Counselor through Neighborworks America and regularly volunteers her time counseling homeowners at HOPE events all over the Bay Area. Tara hosts regular Foreclosure Workshops to educate people on the secrets to working with your lender and is available for public speaking events or panels. She has established relationships with large and small Lenders and Servicers, in an effort to advocate for homeowners and participate in supporting her local community and the economy at large. TECHNOLOGICALLY SAVVY... While Tara feels it is still important to implement traditional methods, taking advantage of technology is not only critical, but also the fun part of marketing your home. “I’m one of those people who loves to fiddle with gadgets,” she says, “and I can usually learn all about it within an hour or two.” Tara finds Social Media to be at the forefront of her marketing efforts, and makes full use of websites, text messaging, e-mail blasts and updates to both market her listings
