A Creative Strategist with focus on design, technology, and storytelling, Tara Tan has led several projects and teams in design and innovation. One of these was Songbird (2012), an ambitious iOS narrative app that fused adventure, technology, music, and film. Called a "gamechanger" by Today newspaper, it premiered at the Singapore Arts Festival 2012.
Currently pursuing a Master in Design Studies at Harvard Graduate School of Design, her research interests are in networks, technlogy, and the city.
She is a Fellow of the Harvard Graduate Leadership Council, and a Fellow at the Harvard Berkman Digital Problem Solving Initiative (DPSI) Pioneer. A Research Assistant at the MIT Open Documentary Lab, she is also involved in Women In Design and Harvard Business School Asian Business Conference.
Tara was a former journalist and arts critic for The Straits Times newspaper, and was an advertising creative for premier boutique ad agency, 10AM Asia. Her short films has been screened at the Shanghai World Expo and NAtional Museum of Singapore. She graduated with First Class (hons) from the University of Bristol, UK.
