Targol Foroutanian

I am the daughter of an actress and an illustrator/ cartoonist. Born in Iran-Tehran in September 1979 right when the war on Iran and Iraq started. We left Iran for a better life to live in Holland- Rotterdam late 1986.

I lived In Holland till 1996. The way I was brought up between artist, intellectuals, social analysts and critics, was fun. It also made me create a broad perspective of differences in realities and cultures around me.

My parents decided to leave for Italy- Ferrara in 1996. Here I studied for 1.5 years and left to build a business in Germany- Marburg, at the age of 17.

Hard Headed as I was I held on to the success for over 3 years till I went back to Italy and from there to Holland in 1999.

I worked just to survive the day, but could not find any satisfaction in that. So I went back to school and at the age of 21 to start a new career as an international travel agent. I finished in August 2001 and had to find a job after 911, which was hard. After having to work in a various companies in positions in sales and international trading, I felt I failed myself.

In the meanwhile I had met the man of my dreams and got pregnant. I left my work to become a mom but had to do this as a single mom. Without no clue to what I was to become, I took jobs where I could find them, to provide for my daughter. After years of dead-end jobs, I got tired and went to Co
