Web-development(Backend), Computer Algorithms. Open-Source, Metallurgical and Molecular Simulations
PROJECT UNDERTAKEN:
1). Indulged(technical lead) in Backend development for an e-commerce website:
The website is basically an e-shopping website which is built on SQLite database. The website-backend is built completely on Python-Django framework. Basic functionality on backend includes register/logins, populating the products from a database, checkouts, online-payments (paypal etc.) and order tracking etc.
2). Currently indulged in a project on educational web-content development under MHRD:
The project was assigned to one of our college professors Dr. K.K. Singh. It includes creation of web-content on certain metallurgical topics (Ancient Iron Making etc.). Initially only text-content is being focussed on which would be followed by video content also.
3). Part of Web-Management team of official website of college(IIT-BHU) and Metallurgical Department:
Involved in designing of the new official website of IIT-BHU(Varanasi) and also leading the work on the development of the new website of Metallurgical Department.
4) Indulgence in open-source development :
Worked on certain patches on python module “SymPy”. Recently got a patch on issue#1126 added in SymPy.
5) Project on grain-size estimation:
This project consisted of development of an improvized software/application(alongwith GUI) for estimation of avg. grain-size of some samples. It basically involves using the image received from an optical microscope and through image processing to find out the avg. grain-size of the sample.The app as well as the GUI was developed in MatLab.
6) Simulation of stereographic projection:
This project involved the simulation of stereographic projections of all 14 bravais lattices(Crystal structures) using python module “Visual”.
