My work supports people in cultivating their core intercultural capacity. This means building both self-awareness and new default behaviours. These serve us in our complex, globalised world where difference, discontinuity and rapid change, are now the constants.
When it comes to cultural competence, there are some big gaps between knowing about, knowing how to, and actually developing and applying the skills to manage ourselves in real situations. One of the consistent comments I hear from clients is that through the workshops and coaching I provide, they develop “muscle memory” to respond to real situations in intercultural management and in life-especially when “off turf”.
