Tavo Jimenez
Filmmaker, TV Producer, and Commercials Producer in San José, Costa Rica
His name is Gustavo, but all his friends just call him Tavo. He has worked for more than 18 years in the film/tv industry. Most recently he has been Senior Producer for LCA Productions where he has served as Local Producer for projects in Costa Rica and Panama for brands like Samsung, Elle Germany, Anthropologie, Vogue Spain, Nintendo, Marriott, and more. In this capability Gustavo has worked along Academy Award winners and nominees Directors and DPs.
In 2006 he joined forces with longtime friend Esteban Solis and creatively developed Esteban’s idea for Fe Urbana, the christian tv series hit in Latin America where he also produced, directed and edited its first season.
He has worked on several film and commercial projects in other capacities in the Crew, including commercials for Citibank, Ikea, Apple, H&M and others, and in the movie Runner Runner from director Brad Furman. He has worked on the film industry as a DIT, Media Manager and Video Assist.
This wide experience let him approach problems in a very singular way allowing him to come up out of the box solutions. Gustavo considers himself a problem solver, no matter if it’s small or big his wide background in several areas allows him to find creative solutions to every problem a production could throw at him.
