Tawana R. Lane

Tawana R. Lane is a passionate educator currently teaching in Prince George’s County Public Schools. She has been a Maryland resident since 2003 and resides in Charles County. A Brooklyn, NY native, Tawana completed her undergraduate degree in Education at Canisius College of Buffalo, NY; her Masters of Science in Reading at Coppin State University. She began her 18 years career in Buffalo as an Early Childhood/Elementary Educator, and has taught in Maryland for the last ten years; where her passion for community and education has prompted her to serve as an advocate at both Local, State and National levels of Educational Associations. She is a Board Member for Prince George’s County Educators Association, her Home Owners Association and is an active member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated.
