Tawnya left her family’s farm in north central Kansas to join the debate team at Washburn University. She continued her education after earning scholarships to the University of Kansas and the University of Alabama. She now holds a law degree and a master’s degree in communication. In addition to practicing law, Tawnya has taught communication and worked in the field of communication.
