For as long as I can remember, I have been a musician. I started learning how to play the piano at age three. My grandmother sat me on her lap and taught me the keys. Over the ten years I played, I became quite proficient. In fact, I have even created original compositions for piano. Once I reached sixth grade, I decided to branch out and picked up the trombone. I continued from there to become three time principal trombone of the All-State Band and principal trombone of the Atlanta Symphony Youth Orchestra in high school. Because of all of this success, I became a music major at the University of Georgia. However, that is not the real reason I am a musician.

Throughout my life, I have had a difficult time making friends. I just cannot seem to crack the code. I have tried making the acquaintance of people with similar interests, but I always feel like an outsider looking in. For whatever reason, I found solace in music. It was a place I could turn where no one would judge me and I could express myself the way I wanted. Words could not describe what it felt like to know I had created something amazing, but, more importantly, I had found a friend.
