I have always found comfort in escaping through art. Whether it be music, or my favorite books, I love the feeling of escaping my own life for a while. I love the places that music takes me. I can listen to a song and suddenly feel the exact emotions I felt when I first heard it. One of my favorite things to do is to imagine a story that goes along with a song. I imagine the beginning of a relationship and the heartbreak that inevitably follows. I also love movies for the same reason. It is like being on the outside looking in and seeing the beginning to end fascinates me. I love movies from 1950s, although most of the movies include my favorite actors Cary Grant and Clark Gable. I think the reason I like movies from that decade is because I can imagine certain things about living and life that I could not otherwise. I take pride in being a daydreamer, an escapist or a wishful thinker because it opens your mind and your heart up to different possibilities. I am not confined to one beginning and one ending. I can dream up a million different beginnings and endings to my story.
