Taylor Smart
Taylor Smart, a Seattle, WA native is a Junior at the University of Tennessee and is currently the starting second basemen for the UT baseball team. He recieved a scholarship to Tennessee after graduating from Western Nevada College in Carson City, NV in May 2012 with an Associate Arts degree and a GPA of 3.2. At Western Nevada College, Taylor is also a member of the baseball team and was All-SWAC Conference player both seasons and played in the Junior College World Series during his sophmore year in Grand Junction, CO.
Baseball has been a major part of Taylor's life and he hopes that someday he can make it a career by getting drafted by a Major League team and playing in the Major Leagues. Taylor is currently studying at the Univeristy of Tennessee and pursuing a degree in Sociology and planning to graduate in May 2014. After Taylor's playing career is over he plans on getting into the coaching side of baseball or becoming a professional baseball scout using the skills and intangibles that he learned during his playing career.
