Taylor Walter
Hey y’all! My name is Taylor Walter. I have lived in Georgia all of my life. I enjoy all things that typical girls like; shopping, eating, and talking. But, I also love sports. My dad and brother are always watching some type of sporting event. I’ve grown up watching and participating in sports. I started playing soccer when I was five and played until eighth grade. Once I got to high school I focused strictly on cheerleading. I began cheerleading when I was in fourth grade. For four years I had over lapped activity schedules. Now that I am in college, I like to work out but I do not competitively play any sport. But, that hasn’t stopped me from enjoying sports. When I go home, one of my favorite things to do is watch football or baseball with my dad, or whatever else it on for that matter.
When both the summer and winter Olympics were on, I made time in my day to watch specific events. One of those events was swimming. Men’s and Women’s swimming fascinated me. I like to think of myself as a pretty decent swimmer, but the Olympians put me to shame. In the most recent Summer Olympics, Michael Phelps was the man to watch. He had broken numerous records and was on his way to being the best swimmer of all time. I remember watching all of his big events with my family and being in awe when he finished in record times. I also enjoyed the crowd’s reaction to his winnings, especially his mom’s reaction.
Sometimes I wish I had kept with one sport throughout my childhood and had the dream of becoming an Olympian. But, there are many things that I have accomplished that make me fell like an Olympian in my own way.
