Hi! My name is Taylor Ultis. I am a local resident of Garrett County, MD; farms and fields are what I call home. I love the outdoors, and enjoy any form of physical activity. Family plays an important role in my life. I am blessed with parents that have supported me in every aspect of life. I am the oldest of my 3 siblings. I have one brother and 2 sisters, both of which I consider my best friends. Like many others in this class, I am an Elementary Education major, attaining a specialization in Early Childhood. My immediate educational goal, graduating with a degree from Frostburg State University, will be achieved much sooner than I expected as May is right around the corner! After graduating in the spring of 2015, I hope to further my education by obtaining a Master’s degree in Special Education. I look forward to the courses at Frostburg State University that will be designed to teach me to become an educator who will assist those with special needs. For now, I anticipate my placement this fall in the Kindergarten class at Grantsville Elementary. We have a full classroom of 27 energetic children who will make my first internship experience worthwhile.
