Taylor McCaw
Criminology Lecturer in Melbourne, Australia
Taylor McCaw is a lecturer in criminology in the College of Law and Justice at Victoria University (VU) with seven years' of teaching experience and is currently completing a PhD on state crime in Sri Lanka. Taylor is also responsible for Chairing masters and undergraduate units, including Global Crimes of the Powerful, Crimes Across Borders and Corporate Crime at VU. As a Teaching Focussed Academic, Taylor contributes to the development of innovative curriculum across a range of units and presents regularly at pedagogical conferences to support student-centred learning. She is also co-CI on Embedding Academic Skills Project which focusses on human-centred design in criminology pedagogy.
Taylor is passionate about ending all forms of state crime, crimes committed by the powerful, and supporting marginalised groups experiencing harm.
Taylor also supervises higher-degree research law and criminology students, including Honours candidates, in the areas of global crime, state crime, international crime, transnational crime, human rights violations, corporate crime, green criminology, and marginalisation and intersectionality in criminology.
