Taylor Baxter

My Name is Taylor Nichole Baxter, I was born in Norman Oklahoma in March of 1994. My parents ar Barbara and Everett Baxter. Growing up I up my mom was a stay at home mom and raised me and my brother Devin and my dad was aPolice Office and is now Crime Scence Investigator in Oklahoma City. When I was 5 we moved to Moore Oklahome. When I was 8 my parents brought another little boy into this world, we named him Alex. That same year my brother Devin, who was my bestfriend at th time, was hit by a car and almost killed. I grew up playing softball and was on very competitive teams. I have won at least 8 state titles and 2 national titles. When I was in high school me and my family hit a rough patch, my mom lost her mom and started abusing drungs and my dad seemed to not care what I did. My mom went to rehab and we fixed our relationship but me and my dads wasnt fixed until I was a senior in high school and I was severly neat by my boyfriend at the time. After this happened I wanted to get away from Oklahoma because I was scared he would do it again, so i came to Sterling College in Sterling, Kansas. After my Freshman year of college a tornado went through my home town. My family and I was split up and that was the scrriest moment of my life because i had no clue if i would ever see them again. I am currently a sophmore student athlete. I am majoring in elementary education in hopes to help kids who don't have the best home life. I have seen how things can turn around and it is my goal to help students see it too.
