Athlete, Coach, and Airport Operations/Maintenance Technition in Aberdeen, South Dakota

I am a Track and Field athlete at Northern State University in Aberdeen, SD. I am currently majoring in Human Performance and Fitness and Minoring in Coaching. I am seeking a career in coaching Track and Field at a Collegiate or elite level. I competed in Pole Vault as a college freshman. During my sophomore year of college I began to train as a decathlete, but tore a hamstring and had to sit out of competition for 2 years. During these two years I developed a great passion for coaching Track and Field. While being sidelined due to injury, I helped out with coaching and traveled to meets. Having to sit out gave me a great understanding to the psychological side of coaching sport. This has made me very interested in expanding my knowledge as a Track and Field coach. I also volunteer my time to my team by hosting skills camps and hosting High School Track meets. This has given me great experience with coaching and running event and organizing results.
