High hopes for the future regarding renewable energy but not that comfortable with the choices being made on behalf of the general population.

Conditions governing labor, social inequalities and international conflicts are all linked to the concentration of wealth. In many regards the ideas related to inherited power is just as damaging to our climate as greenhouse gases. I'm highly opposed to the ideas proposed by Ayn Rand and the likes and people need to understand that ideas are the most powerful weapon in the world. Just as religion has diverted sciences for centuries, hyper - capitalism always turns to fascism. I believe that interdisciplinary research in eco-economy is imperative to avoid grand scale conflicts. There should not be a clear - cut line between social and natural sciences. The one factor that may set us back more then anything else is (still) inequality.

Moreover, education has been molded and skewed by totally wrong and outdated ideas. We now are spiraling more and more into a falsified, agriculturally based way of thinking. The problem is not necessarily the curriculum but most kids thinks high - school sucks. School has to change, not education, education should be fun and challenging not a test in who can brainwash themselves to get an A on exams..

These are some of the ideas that has been my motivation in pursuing higher education and I am now an interdisciplinary in political science and engineering. The energy market (but also how human necessity convolutes and pushes technology forwards) is at the heart of who I want to be.

Wherever one travels today energy is a central theme of stability and economic growth. I believe in access, and open sourcery which is a huge factor in developing new knowledge and technology. Moreover I believe culture prevents conflict and that social unrest is a sign of positive change, even today. People wants equality, to have the same opportunities. Learning is bending into shape yet most media only wants to ignite fears and uncertainties. I strongly believe in universal free education and think it's overwhelmingly obvious how this would have impacted the inequality - issue.

The main focus during my engineering education has been writing about solar cells in nordic conditions, would also be interested in working on policy issues, climate initiatives, education and communication. Native Norwegian speaker but I am also well acquainted with the english.
