As principal owner of Lakewood Family Eye Care in Lakewood Ranch Florida, I strive to provide a unique vision care experience uisng advanced technology to improve the quality of life for patients living in east Manatee and Sarasota counties. I enjoy the business and practice management side of the practice just as much as meeting so many great patients throughout the day.

I am also the Guide to Vision at About.com, a New York Times owned informational website. With more than 900 topic sites (Guide sites), About.com helps users find solutions to a wide range of daily needs – from parenting, health care and technology to cooking, travel and many others.

I have an absolutely beautiful wife, Treva, who happens to be the Guide to Dance at About.com and is an amazing writer and editor. She is extremely talented and creates a wonderful stable environment for our six children to grow up in. We have three boys and three girls.

I am also a relunctant musician who enjoys tinkering with the guitar and writing and recording songs via computerized home recording software. I enjoy spending time with my family and getting back to my home town in Texas once in a while to see my father and brothers.
