Lauren Burg

My name is Lauren. I reside in the Tampa Bay area of Fla. I'm a 2009 graduate of the Journalism & Media Studies program at the University of South Florida (USF) St. Petersburg campus. I am a HUGE Tampa Bay sports fan. Follow the NHL Tampa Bay Lightning, MLB Tampa Bay Rays, NFL Tampa Bay Bucs, AFL Tampa Bay Storm & NCAA football Auburn Tigers & USF Bulls. My favorite players are Steven Stamkos, Martin St. Louis, Vinny Lecavalier, Evan Longoria, Carlos Pena and former Auburn standouts Cam Newton and Carnell Williams. I watch hockey religiously though & will pull for different teams as long as they aren't playing my favorite teams!! Favorite players on other teams are Sean Bergenheim (Panthers), Brad Richards (New York Rangers), Mike Smith (Phoenix Coyotes), etc. Currently work part time at a library and cover high school football as a correspondent for the "Tampa Bay Times" but have every intent of some day becoming a sports, hopefully hockey, writer!!!
