TROY BYRD

Troy Byrd has a wealth of experience, expertise, and contacts in the entrepreneurial field and is known for his leadership in creating cutting-edge events featuring distinguished speakers such as Ted Turner, Steve Wozniak, Kenneth Cole, Jack Welch, Maria Bartiromo, Beth Comstock, Marc Ecko, and CEOs of J.Crew, Kinkos, and JetBlue to name a few. Troy co-founded the Bryant University Global Entrepreneurship Program (GEP) and in less than a year took GEP from inception to national rankings by Entrepreneur magazine. Troy was awarded the U.S. Small Business Administration, Office of Advocacy Research Advocate of the Year (RI) for his 139-page study on incubators and college entrepreneurship.

Troy was a founding advisor to Singularity University located at NASA, where he helped recruit founders and faculty, raise funding, secure pro-bono legal services, and help design the launch strategy. He also provided logistical support to the founding meeting, which ultimately brought together 80+ tech icons such as Larry Page, CEO of Google.

Troy serves on numerous boards and provides consulting to start-ups, emerging-growth companies, and non-profits. He has launched or advised initiatives at universities including: Princeton, Brown, Columbia, Duke, and University of Florida, among others.
