Hi, my name is Tayler. Yes, that’s Tayler spelled with an ‘e’. It’s a little different, and everyone spells it wrong, but I have come to love the unique twist on my commonplace name. Truth be told, I have come to love a lot of things: iced coffee, loud music, running, commotion, philanthropy, entrepreneurship, contemplation, and spirituality. But all of these things would be nothing without what matters most to me; people. It sounds cliché, but about 90% of my energy comes from having people around. I love running, singing off-key, worshiping, and figuring out the mysteries of life with others. I love it so much that my life’s focus has shifted from being with others to being there for others. For people like family members who have always been there for me, and friends that understand me in ways I never even knew possible. I am constantly impacted by the new people I meet and what they have to say; each person playing a different role in my development through listening and counseling. Likewise, I hope to do the same for those younger than me, as they in turn motivate me to become a person of inspiration. My life would be empty without people to cry, to take risks, study and discover new dreams with. I can’t imagine the boredom I would face without people to laugh about the dysfunctionalities of life with, or to bond over the little things like coffee obsessions and embarrassing moments. Even when I’m alone I constantly think about where I would be without every single person I’ve encountered along my journey of becoming who I am today. I am very grateful that even though I am independent and can survive on my own, I am a person who does not have to.
