T. C. Southwell was born in Sri Lanka and moved to the Seychelles with her family as a baby. She spent her formative years exploring the islands - mostly alone - and therefore gained a deep love of other worlds. She travelled around Europe, then moved to South Africa with her mother when her father died and now lives in Cape Town. T. C. Southwell used to work in the IT industry, but is now a full-time sci-fi and fantasy author, and has written over thirty books in five series: The Queen's Blade, The Cyber Chronicles, The Broken World, Demon Lord and Slave Empire. Her hobiies are writing, art, horse riding, and motorbike riding.
