Terri Klein

Terri Klein, currently of Albuquerque, NM, is a writer and performer of poetry, plays, and songs. Her poetry has appeared in numerous journals, including Midstream, Caduceus, and RE:AL, as well as in the theater, as part of East Haddam Stage Company's Plays and Poetry in 2004, 2008, 2010, and 2014 (East Haddam, CT). She is a member of Playwrights' Circle (an Albuquerque-based playwrights' critique group), and the Connecticut-based poetry writing group Artemis Rising. Her most recent play, You Can't Be Serious, was performed in April, 2015, at Oddfellows Playhouse in Middletown, CT. Her first full-length play, What Next, was produced in Middletown in 2014. She has also written several short plays for 24-hour play festivals and 10-minute play festivals and a one act (with Pat Hale) for the Hill-Stead Museum (Farmington, CT). As co-director of Poetry Salon and public relations director for Riverwood Poetry Series, Inc., Terri helped put on poetry events throughout central Connecticut for five years. She was also the editor of CTPoetNews for three years, a free, weekly e-newsletter listing poetry events in Connecticut. She and her husband Michael are co-founders of Hours Apart Productions. In June of 2015, Terri and her husband relocated to Albuquerque, New Mexico, where she has already begun to write and perform. There goes the neighborhood.
