Teacher Diversity

We, the Teacher Diversity Committee of New York City, have come together to address the lack of teacher diversity in the New York City public schools. We are particularly concerned about the 57% drop in the hiring of Black teachers since 2002, and the great disparity between the number of Latino teachers and students (14% vs. 40%).
