Teale Shapcott is a seasoned IT professional with over 20 years of experience across corporate, consulting, and startup environments. Her career began in graphic design, evolving into a focus on user experience (UX) design, where she built and led digital design teams. Her expertise spans research, design, and evaluation of digital products.

In addition to her design background, Teale has over 15 years of experience working in agile environments and has spent 5 years as a Product Owner. She holds a Diploma of Business, a Diploma of System Design, and certifications as a Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) and Certified Agile Facilitator (CAF). Her passion for agile methodologies has been a driving force throughout her career.

Teale is also a qualified Workplace Coach (Cert IV Workplace Coaching) and is currently advancing her education with a Diploma in Leadership Coaching. These coaching skills have enhanced her ability to lead and empower digital teams while fostering strong stakeholder relationships.

Her guiding principles include articulating a compelling product vision, leveraging data-driven decisions, connecting business objectives with actionable plans, empowering teams through coaching and collaboration, championing user-centricity, and leading with empathy.

When she isn't busy designing great experiences, Teale is dedicating her time to training her two German Shepherds for competitive dog sports. Teale advocates for ethical, outcomes based dog training and currently serves as the Vice President of Professional Dog Trainers Australia.
