Jonathan Morgan

Jonathan Morgan is a History student currently attending the University of Georgia. His primary interest is in social structures and reforms in 19th Century Europe. He is also interested in Philosophy and is minoring in the subject.

With the introduction of new social classes and structures Europe entered a new phase in history. The people of the continent had to deal with new problems, issues and ideologies and cope with a changing economy and way of life. They also exported these problems abroad through imperialism. By globalizing them ensured that nothing could exist in a vacuum. It is in this crucible of change that the modern world was formed. The roots of many of our societal norms and taboos can be traced to this period and that is why it is so interesting.

Jonathan is also involved in Drum Corps International. He marched Euphonium with Carolina Crown Drum and Bugle corps for 6 years from 2006 (in.trance.it) to 2011 (Rachstar). During this time the horn line won two brass titles (2009 "The Grass is Always Greener" and 2011 "Rachstar"). He has employed the skills learned with Crown to work with several marching bands in the Atlanta area.

Jonathan is looking forward to beginning the next part of his journey in DCI as a member of the 2012 Bluecoats visual staff.
