Team Reed Foundation
Non-Profit Organization in Houston, TX
The Team Reed Foundation is a 501(c)-3 donor-advised fund and currently works with the Greater Houston Community Foundation (GHFC) to help donate time and funds to Houston communities and its residents. The foundation was created by Houston resident and PGA Golfer Patrick Reed.
Patrick Reed is a resident in Houston, Texas, and has always been very appreciative of the incredible opportunities that the city has provided him over the years. Because of this, Patrick and the Team Reed Foundation continue to focus on giving back to various causes that affect both the local and national community. In order to help the community, the foundation provides ongoing support for youth homelessness organizations and organizations dedicated to medical research.
Additionally, the foundation focuses on organizations dedicating to help connect today's youth to golf programs around the United States. Some of the organizations that the Team Reed Foundation supports include the Ronald McDonald Foundation, Duke Center for Cancer Research, and the American Junior Golf Association.
In 2019, the Team Reed Foundation and the Southern Texas PGA Foundation partnered to create the Patrick Reed Scholarship. The scholarship will provide a scholarship for $10,000 to a graduating high school senior who have excelled both inside and outside of the classroom. The inaugural winner, Zachary Slayton, was announced in May 2019, and recognizes the potential that he has in the future.
