Tea Ribar

A Southeastern European girl, my family originates from the small city of Sarajevo. Due to a war that broke out in the region my parents were forced to flee and have me one month later in Subotica, Serbia. After a quick birth then bounce we moved to London, England. Finally settling down in the foggy city by the bay, known as San Francisco.

Clearly not one to stand still not much as changed. I am the happiest when on a plane headed to a new destination. And find most of my inspiration to come from immersing myself in new cities, cultures, fashion and foods. I was that little girl who enjoyed eating octopus on the beaches of Croatia and waiting in line for hours just to see a few of Picasso’s pieces at the Louvre.

A self-proclaimed foodie and voyager of new lands, I have a passion for lifestyle Public Relations. As an intern with Big Picture PR in San Francisco, I was absorbed in lifestyle consumer products, such as Fanny Wang Headphones and Chris Nations jewelry. This past summer I interned for FFLC, a nonprofit working to end hunger in Lane County, I booked speakers, developed marketing materials and managed the guests that attended their annual Partner Agency Conference.

Currently I intern with H Boutique, coordinating and prompting events and gaining experience in business and consumer marketing. I conduct in-depth focus groups and collect fashion and market trends for the brand. Fortunately I have been given a great deal of creative freedom allowing me to explore the different techniques of Public Relations. I love the pressure and unexpected surprises that arise with PR. It gets the creative juices flowing and keeps me on my toes.

I am a public relations major at the University of Oregon, with hopes of working PR in-house for a lifestyle magazine.
