Ted Tuck

Ellicott City, Maryland

I'm well and live in Howard County, Maryland, since 1997. Though born in Cleveland, OH, January 15, 1967, I am a Marylander. My family moved around a bit, during my early years, as my father was in the Air Force.

My parents, brother and I moved to Bowie, MD when I was 4; my folks still reside there, today. I loved growing up in Bowie; it was a perfect place for families to live. Close in proximity to Washington, DC and Annapolis, MD, we had a lot of cultural things around to help us develop, as kids.

Bowie, itself, offered a wide range of things to do. I played Baseball and Soccer, as a kid. I was a Boy Scout that enjoyed camping and the great outdoors (Still do). I went to a Boy Scout Jamboree in 1981, hiked in Philmont, New Mexico in 1982 and became a member of the Order of the Arrow in 1983. I was a member of S.P.E.B.S.Q.S.A. and sang Lead in a Barbershop Chorus, for a few years, in the Bowie Knights of Harmony.

I attended Bowie High School and graduated in 1985. BHS was a very large school yet the students were very close. Close to 30 years after graduation, it amazes people the amount of friends I remain close to. Those years were truly formidable in every sense of the word.

My first job was at McDonald's, in Bowie; another great place where I formed life long relationships. I met my first girlfriend, at McDonald's.

After High School, I attended Prince George's Community College and then the University of Maryland where I studied Art. I also joined ΣΠ Fraternity. As friends of mine attended Towson University and wanted to start a fraternity themselves, I help them start a ΣΠ chapter there.

After school, I worked in the Photofinishing industry, for about 4 years, before I started my career. Since 1994, I've worked in Managed Services. I started with Legal Copies International. in 1996 we were aquired by Alcoh Standard, which later became IKON Office Solutions. In 2009, IKON was aquired by Ricoh, for which I work today.

In January of 1995, I met Debbie Huller. Debbie, from Catonsville, MD, and I married in 1997 and we settled in Ellicott City, MD. We started a family in 1999, when our son Logan was born; 4 years later, in 2003, we were blessed with our daughter Rylee. I love being a dad, as it allows me to be cool and a dork all at the same time; which I have trained my entire life for.

Now, I'm back in Scouting along with my son, a 4th genereration Scout, himself.........
