Ted Boezaart

As the CEO for Modea in Blacksburg, Virginia, Ted manages several high-performing teams that solve real business problems with practical, digital solutions for healthcare and telecom clients.
He works closely with clients and internal teams to develop innovative partnerships and opportunities that deliver real business results. Ted has spent over 9 years in the mobile industry, most recently providing strategic guidance and managing the mobile presence for the largest cellular network providers in the United States.
Prior to working at Modea, Ted was an Account Director working with Verizon Wireless, in addition to managing the mobile group at Moxie Interactive . Prior to Moxie, Ted worked at SapientNitro where he helped establish the Mobile and Digital Display Group -- a forward-thinking initiative helping clients answer the tough questions about where they should be in the mobile space, and what that presence should look like. He has worked with numerous Fortune 500 companies tohelp them define mobile strategies, and implement cutting edge mobile solutionsfor them. Clients include: Verizon Wireless, The Coca-Cola Company, Chrysler, Target, Maybelline NY, Chip Ganassi Racing, New Balance, CitiBank, Disney, Harley Davidson, Victoria's Secret, Safeco Insurance, AGLR and Prudential.
Ted started his career as a business consultant at a boutique industrial engineering firm in South Africa, Indutech, where he lead several initiatives to optimize business processes and systems within one of the largest insurance companies in South Africa. He also worked a number of other international clients on business optimization initiatives and collaborated with the Fraunhofer Institute in Berlin, and the University of Twente in the Netherlands to define re-usable toolkits for business optimization.
Ted holds a Bachelor's and Master's degrees (cum laude) in Industrial Engineeringfrom the University of Stellenbosch in his home land, South Africa.
