Teddy Bart

Teddy Bart takes his listeners inside the fascinating world of spirituality and metaphysics in Beyond Reason, a webcast out of in Nashville, Tennessee, co-hosted by Karlen Evins. On Beyond Reason, Teddy Bart discusses the philosophy behind individual success, wealth, and fate and how some people achieve those ends by a change in thought and sharpening of perspective. Because of the events that shaped his own career as a broadcast personality, musician, singer, and author, Teddy Bart uses Beyond Reason to ask questions about how to tread life's path.

As a veteran of the television and radio industry, Teddy Bart’s career spans back to the mid-1950s, when as a high school student he won a radio contest and hosted a 15-minute show on the local station. He performed on Dick Clark’s Bandstand in 1958 during its early days in Philadelphia and made his first of many appearances on Nashville’s WKRN Channel 2 on the Noel Ball Show. Teddy Bart kicked off his career as a singer on television in 1959 on Don McNeill’s Breakfast Club out of Chicago and then spent over a decade singing on several radio and television programs, including Waking Crew and the Noon Show on Nashville’s WSM radio and television stations.

During the early 1960s, Teddy Bart honed his stage act and played in a number of clubs in Nashville’s famous Printer’s Alley nightclub district. As a singer-songwriter, Teddy Bart performed at night and devoted daytime hours to writing. Famous pop artists such as Al Hirt, Brenda Lee, and Johnny Mathis recorded several of his songs. After several years singing on television, radio, and the lounge circuit, Teddy Bart got his first broadcasting break as host of the Noon Show on WSM Channel 2, one of Nashville’s top television talk shows, from 1970 to 1981. He also served as Channel 2’s news anchor.

However, true to his desire to ask questions rather than answer them, Teddy Bart started a highly popular, syndicated talk show in Tennessee called Teddy Bart’s Round Table, which lasted on the air for more than two decades. He also launched the talk show Beyond Reason, which continues as a podcast to this day. Teddy Bart is a five-time winner of the Best Talk Show Award from Nashville Scene, a local alt-weekly.
