Teddy Teece is the Managing Partner of Kea Capital Partners (KCP), an investment firm that connects international capital with New Zealand’s light industrial sector. His background includes entrepreneurship, investing, philanthropy, finance, technology, executive coaching, and real estate. Across these areas, he has worked to align financial goals with purpose, environmental responsibility, and solutions to overlooked market challenges.
Teddy's family ties to New Zealand extend across five generations, and his early life across two hemispheres and coasts helped shape an international outlook. He works with long-term and lifestyle-focused investors who want financial returns while also building stronger connections to New Zealand and contributing to its economy, environment, and infrastructure.
As Founder and Managing Partner of KCP, Teddy leads acquisition efforts across the “golden triangle,” with an emphasis on light industrial sectors. The firm focuses on acquiring, growing, and consolidating established businesses that support the country’s infrastructure. During his first year in an Executive MBA program, he developed KCP’s business plan and investment thesis, built advisory relationships, and tested the strategy. The model combines private equity and search fund approaches with local partnerships, community events, and philanthropic opportunities.
Earlier in his career, Teddy served as Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of an investment bank that experienced rapid early growth and processed eight- and nine-figure transactions. He also co-founded a marketplace for unique experiences and built partnerships with established providers. His consulting experience included co-founding a family-business advisory practice within a global consulting firm, where he worked with business families, executives, and next-generation leaders in the United States, the Middle East, and New Zealand.
Teddy also developed a non-profit and executive coaching center, built several property features himself, and led teams as a general contractor. Since 2017, he has supported Navy SEAL families through a foundation where he serves in an advisory role. He has also helped raise six- and seven-figure sums for charitable causes.
Teddy Teece is an Executive MBA candidate at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business. He continues to work with a New Zealand-based team, support charitable organizations, work the land, write, drum, and pursue adventure while maintaining a long-term focus on service, partnerships, businesses, and communities.
