Since studying for his BS in pharmacy at the University of Illinois at Chicago, Chicago-based pharmacist Ted Gladson founded and led Gladson Interactive, which focused on in-store design and merchandising, including dimensional databases, product image, and planograms. He sold Gladson Interactive in 2005. Ted Gladson has also served as the president of the Chicago Drug Club and maintained affiliations with several professional associations, including the American Pharmaceutical Association (now the American Pharmacists Association) and National Association of Retail Druggists (now the National Community Pharmacists Association). He also founded P E Systems, Inc., where he functioned as the organization’s president for more than a decade.

Moreover, Mr. Gladson has taught at the University of Utah in addition to his alma mater. He also conducted more than 300 seminars on retail pharmacy management and led a seminar for pharmacy retailers at the University of Missouri. Furthermore, he published the Drugstore Guide to Selling and Merchandising. In his free time, he enjoys golfing, skiing, and scuba diving.
