I grew up in the now world famous Treme neighborhood of New Orleans. The French Quarter and Congo Square were my boyhood playgrounds and it was there that I learned how to dream and create. I fell in love with music at a very young age and started playing the electric bass at the age of 14. By age 24 I was working as a professional musician. I've been fortunate to have worked with a diverse range of local and national recording artists including R&B; singer Jon B, American Idol Finalist Latoya London and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nominee Zigaboo Modeliste. I moved to the San Francisco Bay Area in the late 90's and sought to "legitimize" my life as a musician by pursuing a degree in Music. I received a BA in Music from California State University, East Bay with a focus on Classical Double Bass. I use my love of music and technology to communicate and share ideas with others and especially enjoy coaching and mentoring youth using technology, art and real world experiences as a means of creating and nurturing a lifelong love of knowledge and self-expression. I currently work with Music for Minors nonprofit teaching music to primary school aged children in the Redwood City, San Carlos and San Mateo County School Districts. I also work as a freelance musician with several artists, Theater Companies and Houses of Worship. I am on a constant quest for ways to use my creative talents so that I can, if even in a small way, leave the world in better shape than I found it.
