Ted W. Johnson

I was born and raised in Corvallis , Oregon. In 1980, I graduated from Oregon State University with a business degree and an accounting concentration. I had a 34-year CPA career in accounting and financial analysis, including 29 with the State of Oregon.

I lived in Salem, Oregon, from September 1981 through February 2016. I met my wife, Betsy, in Salem. We were married October 1, 1982. I am madly in love with her! We enjoyed raising 3 children, who are now adults.

We adore our only grandchild (so far). Livi is about 22 months old, smart and cute. We see her a few times each week, since she lives just 4 blocks from us.

I began writing poems in 2008, at the age of 52. I found that I enjoy sharing my thoughts and feelings through poetry. My first poetry book, "Shriek While You Can!", was published in March 2015. My second poetry book, "Seoul Searching", was published in December 2015. I hope to create more poetry and more books in the upcoming years.

I enjoy watching many sports events. I also enjoy reading, traveling, and photography. I recently snapped over 1,800 photos on a 16-day vacation in Korea.

I used to be much more physically active, but serious neck and lower back problems have slowed me down considerably.
