In high school she was in the Science and Technology Program with the concentration of Computer Science. She also joined the Academy of Finance Program and the CCE Work Study Program. She graduated out of high school with honors. She started to attend North Carolina Central University in the Fall of 2010. She is now a Mass Communications Major with a concentration in Communication Studies and aspires to be a Director of Public Relations. She also plans on attending grad school at UMUC and plans on going to law school to become a corporate attorney.

She is a member of the National Negro Council of Black Women and a member of Lambda Pi Eta Communication Honor Society. She has worked as a intern for North Carolina Central's Audionet, Sports Information and Office of Public Relations. She has also worked at Duke University's School of Nursing as a Media Relations Intern.
