Tenecia is a BusinessCommunications professional with over a decade of customer service, communityoutreach and relationship management experience. She has the ability toeffectively deliver clear, concise, and strategic messaging to desiredstakeholders. Specializing in Corporate Communication, she has earned areputation for developing creative processes to improve both internal andexternal communication. Tenecia received a Bachelor of Arts inCommunication from Eastern Michigan University and studied Public Relations andOrganizational Communication at Wayne State University. Her professional careerbegan in Customer Care with DTE Energy, a fortune 500 company headquartered inDetroit, MI. She worked to set herself apart from her peers and advanced to aleadership role in less than two years. After a few short months, she wasselected to work in Training and Development on the restructuring of theCustomer Care curriculum. This opportunity allowed her to develop multipleinternal communication pieces and help improve information sharing processesbetween departments. In her current role, she serves as Membership Liaison forthe Detroit Regional Chamber responsible for connecting companies withinSoutheastern Michigan to benefits, programs and opportunities available to themthrough membership. Tenecia is a native Detroiter with a passion for therevitalization of her city. She’s worked to build bridges between organizationsand connect people with resources available to help improve their quality of life.She volunteers with philanthropic organizations such as Habitat for Humanity,Meals on Wheels, United Way of Southeastern Michigan, and Toys for Tots.Tenecia is the mother of an All-Star competitive cheerleader and is veryinvolved in her sorority, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. She spends her sparetime enjoying the amenities of the Detroit Riverwalk and exploring hercreativity in the kitchen.
