I am a Director of Curriculum at Johnsburg CUSD #12 in Johnsburg, IL. I am currently living in Marengo, Illinois. My main passion is improving instructional practice in order to improve learning for students. I love to create through writing, and also love to share what I've learned from 20+ years in education with others through presentations and blogging. I constantly work at getting better, and am never afraid to jump in and try something new, even if it means failing a bit before I hit the ground.
When I'm not doing my education thing, I love to run marathons, race duathlons, and run overnight relays between two cities. I always maintain a total of two dogs in the house, and I recently became an accidental cat owner.
