Tenia Green

San Jose

Hey everyone. This is Tenia…thanks so much for coming by. Who am I, you may ask? Well…. here’s a little info about me. I was born and raised in San Jose and have lived here most of my life, San Jose is the heart of Silicon Valley just south of San Francisco and the largest city in the Bay Area. Most of my childhood I was highly involved in sports; track, basketball and soccer were the ones that got the most attention, but my efforts on the track grabbed the attention of the universities. I earned a track scholarship to Sacramento State and then graduated with a B.S. degree in Business Marketing from San Jose State University. After college I begin my career in sales then progressed to marketing and have been working as a Marketing Manager ever since. When I moved out on my own is when I realized my passion for food and started taking cooking to another level. I really enjoyed it. I found myself experimenting with different recipes I found in random cookbooks I found like Costco and Crock Pot Slow Cooker books, magazines I found lying around while waiting at the doctor’s office or at the gym, and internet searches whenever I was hungry and looking for new ideas. Of course TV had a big part in this as well. All the lovely commercials with the delicious looking foods that make you want to go run to the store and fill your cart so you can get your masterpieces going at home. I cooked fancy meals for my loved ones and myself all the time. One of the best parts about enjoying cooking is planning social gatherings and having friends and family over. I love to watch them eat and boast about how good the f
