Radio Host in New York
Hey, thanks for coming by! I’m Tennesha, a host, TV personality, blogger Army Veteran, and dater living in New York City. I was raised in the Minneapolis by Jamaican parents; think Fargo meets Cool Runnings. I have lived and dated in several major cities including San Francisco and New York City. After countless online dates, I was left with endless stories and lasting lessons. Mr. Right is still on his way as it’s rush hour and he’s taking the local train, not the express. The wait has helped me grow and I have met some amazing people who have helped me discover my true passion; learning about how relationships form, what truly makes them last, and helping others navigate todays’ complicated world of online dating. My mantra is know you, be you, love you. I believe that love starts within, once you love yourself and embrace authenticity, love will find its way to you.
I was on the hit show #Blacklove where viewers followed the ups and down for my relationship (yes, I actually let cameras follow me around all day). Although my relationship on the show didn’t work out, the experience taught me that we want the same things out of life; love and companionship, we just take different routes to get there. During #Blacklove, countless viewers reached out to tell me that they connected to my story: the independent career woman stuggling to let go and be vulnerable. I knew the conversation had to continue long after the show, so I decided to start my podcast Dating, Relationships, and Love (DRL).
When it comes to dating, I’m still a work in process but the journey is a blast. Every week on DRL, I share my NYC dating escapades and give advice I’ve learned along the way. I also impart the knowledge of my diverse guests who share some of the most intimate details of their relationships and their paths to love. I live my life as an open book and demand the same of my guest on the show. DRL is deeply personal for me and it’s my hope it helps and touches you in some way!
I’m also an online dating coach. I help online daters display themselves in the best way to attract dates, relationships, and love. Trust me, I’ve tried every site, I know the best ones to get you what you’re looking for. Free tip; never under any circumstances, post a shirtless bathroom selfie, never! My advice and blogs have been featured on ABC, Madame Noir, Rolling Out, and more.
