Tenzin Khangsar

Vancouver, British Columbia-based merchant and investment banker Tenzin Khangsar worked in journalism, sales and marketing, and business development for many years before segueing his negotiating and relationship building skills into government work in the 2000s. Today, Tenzin Khangsar serves as managing director and executive vice president of the RCI Capital Group, Inc., a firm providing unique investment opportunities to clients in North America and the Asia Pacific region. Working from RCI Capital’s global headquarters in Vancouver, he facilitates investments and business partnerships between companies and private individuals.
Prior to pursuing a career in government, Tenzin Khangsar worked as a sports journalist for CBC Television; as a youth coordinator for the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada; and as a cofounder and executive business development and marketing officer at the software company Invidex, Inc.
In 2006, Tenzin Khangsar accepted one of his first Canadian government jobs. In this role, he performed as a special advisor for the parliamentary secretary to the prime minister. Since then, Khangsar has operated as the chief of staff for several government offices during Prime Minister Stephen Harper’s administration.
