Teodora Balan

Hi, I’m Teodora (Teo), international Theatre and Performance student living in Guildford, UK. I was born and raised in Romania, being part of a Scout group, which taught me precious values for teamwork but personal ones too. I also developed respect and love for nature.

I like going to piano concerts but I enjoy music from classical, soul R&B to funk-rock, blues, jazz; I am trained in latin and ballroom dancing, but I have transferable skills from that; I was part of a French theatre team in high school and went twice to Florence, Italy at the Théâtralisons Ensemble festival; I played various roles in the acting modules in my Theatre and Performance course; I also have experience in the role of mic runner; playing the guitar (and ukulele) is one of my passions since I was in the Scout group, singing at the camp fire every evening in camps and participating at talent contests in high school. I am an organized person who respects her team members and time schedules.

I'm often mistaken for being Spanish (with a bit of training I could speak some decent Spanish and Italian in a scene so to speak).

I am interested in music, acting, filmmaking and more recently, in film music. I'm also looking to improve my skills and gain confidence and experience which I can make use of in future projects.

As a long time goal, I want to take my broken heart and make it into art. ( advice from Carrie Fisher to Meryl Streep)
