Life without music is a mistake.

Growing up within the Twin Cities has given me an ear for the arts. I first experienced music as a young child, listening to the artists from the 80′s. Love at first sound. I have no genre that I don’t appreciate, although my listening tastes lean towards folk, rock, metal, and pop, among other genres.

From there I took band in elementary and middle school, learning how to play the violin, and flute. I loved learning how to play both instruments, however the flute is what stole my soul.

Growing up with a music background, I have gained an appreciation and love for music, and for the artists that create that music.

It wasn’t until the last year, when I saw the quote, ” Life without music is a mistake”. That statement opened a window, letting the sun blare down into my soul. I don’t go a day without music, an hour without thinking about music, or a minute without having song lyrics hum throughout my head.

This epiphany helped guide me onto the path I have now taken. I attend a music school based in Minneapolis for Music Business and Entertainment degree.

Although having to work full time and attend night is difficult, the sacrifices are well worth the rewards. Graduation awaits me in the future, and I look forward to working within the music industry, with artists and bands alike, helping make their dream an easier reality.
