Tera McHugh

Tera was left feeling helpless, hopeless and alone and within inches from a nervous breakdown when in 2003 she moved 2200 miles away from everything that was familiar to her.

Growing up in Chicago and moving to Southern California was a harder transition than she anticipated. It wasn't until her husband lovingly encouraged her to "get on some medication" or "figure out what was wrong" that Tera decided it was time to understand what was going on and how to make her life better.

Tera realized that she needed to change her perspective and started to look at her "problems" as an "opportunities". She realized that she actually had a wonderful opportunity to create any life she wanted in California...oh, but, what did she want?

Tera took some time to outline and assess each area of her life, then she decided what she wanted next and began to make things happen. Soon her friends and family were asking her what she had done to turn her life around and they wanted her to teach them how to get the same results in their own lives. Tera outlined her step-by-step process and started an online consulting business and began teaching her signature process via email and the Internet.

Tera's passion grew into working with women in business helping them with the unique challenges they face building a business and managing their often hectic life. This passion guided her to start the Association of Women Entrepreneurs (AofWE) allowing her the opportunity to connect women to the resources, tools and support they need to build a successful business and live an aWEsome life.

AofWE started in Southern California in February of 2006 with 12 members and a mission to connect women dedicated to building relationships focused on business growth & development. Within the 1st year the organization grew to over 130 members locally and has continued to grow ever since expanding outside of Southern California and now has members across the United States (& beyond).

Tera is known as the Business Matchmaker, she has a talent for matching people with the perfect relationships to grow their business. She is also an expert in business and personal development and is gifted at creating and leading a supportive community and makes people feel inspired to achieve their dreams. Her clients say that she is passionate, determined and authentic. Tera's TRUE PASSION is helping women connect to what they need to succeed!
