Chiang Mai, Chiang Mai, Thailand

Hey there.

I figured I would create an about.me page just to share the amazing expirience I am living out before college. So far I have traveled Costa Rica, Fiji, New Zealand, France, Australia, Thailand, and other parts of Europe.

Most of what has enabled me to complete these trips is a company called Carpe Diem Education. It is partnered with Portland State University, so I am getting a years worth of college credit for traveling and keeping record of it. I haven't stepped foot in a classroom since I graduated high school.

I know this sounds like an advertisement (it isn't), I just wanted to share that there are more options outside of immediately going to college.

Of course I will get to college next year, but I feel that I will have more life expirience under my belt, more of a worldly concept to my thoughts. Also I just like to explore and don't enjoy being talked at.

Another wonderful part of traveling is that I've realized that you don't need to be made of money to travel. There are multiple oppurtunities to stretch your dollar, let me know if you want some advice.

As of now, in Thailand, I have been working in a organization called COSA. It is safe haven girls in Thailand's northern hill tribes that are at high risk of being prostituted. I work with them to teach them English, create activities, and mainly be their friend. I arrived at the end of January and have already learned so much from these girls.
