Terence Cushing
Senior Corporate Counsel at Republic Services in Phoenix, AZ, USA
I am an experienced attorney with nearly twenty years of work in civil litigation and corporate law. I was born in Schenectady, New York and raised in Exton, Pennsylvania, where I grew up in a home that valued learning, discipline, and curiosity. I earned my bachelor’s degree in International Affairs from George Washington University in 1996 and my law degree from Pennsylvania State University in 2003, the same year I passed the Arizona bar. I later became licensed in Nevada and Texas as well.
I began my legal career as a federal law clerk for Judge Earl H. Carroll, an experience that shaped my approach to writing, analysis, and precision. From there, I developed a broad litigation background at several major law firms, handling matters involving product liability, commercial litigation, medical malpractice, loan default servicing, and personal injury. I earned partnership roles at Jennings Strouss and later at Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, where I spent more than 11 years managing teams and serving a wide range of clients.
Today, I serve as Senior Corporate Counsel at Republic Services, a Fortune 300 environmental services company. Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, sports, politics, languages, and weightlifting.
