Teresa Dias

As an experienced group leader, Teresa has facilitated groups of teens and adults using therapeutic theater to build group cohesion, explore emotions and strengthen a sense of self. This includes leading workshops for the staff of the Starbright training Institute in VA (2011), as well as the International Play Therapy Conference in CA (2011).

As a performer, when Teresa discovered Playback Theater in 2007, she fell in love with it's power. She has been performing and teaching Playback Theater with True Story Theater in Boston.

Teresa is currently working with 3-6 yo's, combining play and drama therapy for her internship in Roxbury Ma.

She's excited to be co-writing a chapter combining play and Drama Therapy with Eliana Gil.

Drama Therapy is Teresa's second career. Her first career was onstage and in the air as an aerialist, living and working in Germany between 2000-2006.

A San Francisco native, Teresa now resides in East Boston with her husband and 4 year old daughter.
