Teresa Robertson

I have been blessed with an equal upbringing of life in the Midwest and Deep South. This means my Southern friends make fun of my ‘accent’ and my Midwestern friends make fun of me for saying things like ‘y’all’ or ‘soda’ instead of ‘pop’.

My goal in photography is to combine my artistic background (painting, illustration, and…wait for it…photography) with the individuals personality. I have the utmost respect for ‘proper’ photography but love enhancing the emotion and mood of a photo artistically. I have always had a thing for paintings that look like photographs and photographs that look like paintings.

While I know many photographers like having a ‘focus’ on events or age ranges they like to photograph, I’m just not there in my journey yet. I like creativity. I like messiness. I like capturing the often overlooked interactions between people, focusing on the simple, beautiful moments that we often carry with us in our souls but don’t have on paper. I consider myself honored to have been an outsider looking in on these special moments.
